Day 1: 7 Days Luxury Gorilla & Wildlife Safari (Uganda & Rwanda)

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Welcome to Uganda
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional CHIGO Gorilla Adventures guide. After a safari briefing, transfer to your luxury hotel to relax after your international flight.
Depending on your arrival time, enjoy an optional visit to the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre, Entebbe Botanical Gardens, or a sunset walk along the shores of Lake Victoria.

Day 2: Entebbe – Queen Elizabeth National Park
After an early breakfast, depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park via the scenic countryside, passing tea plantations, traditional villages, and rolling hills.
Arrive at your luxury lodge overlooking the savannah and enjoy lunch before heading out for an evening game drive in search of elephants, buffaloes, lions, Uganda kobs, warthogs, and numerous antelope species.
Return to the lodge for dinner while enjoying spectacular African sunset views.

Day 3: Game Drive, Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise & Kyambura Gorge
Begin the day with a sunrise game drive through Kasenyi Plains, offering excellent opportunities to spot predators and large herds of wildlife.
After lunch, enjoy a memorable boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, famous for its enormous concentration of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and hundreds of bird species.
Later, if permits are available, experience chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge, often referred to as the “Valley of Apes.”
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, drive through the Ishasha Sector, renowned for its famous tree-climbing lions.
Enjoy a game drive as you search for these remarkable predators before continuing to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Arrive at your luxury forest lodge, surrounded by spectacular rainforest scenery.
Spend the evening relaxing and preparing for the following day’s gorilla trek.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking Experience
After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers.
Enter the ancient rainforest in search of one of Bwindi’s habituated mountain gorilla families. The trek can last anywhere from two to eight hours depending on the gorillas’ location.
Once found, spend one magical hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat.
Return to the lodge for relaxation, spa treatment (optional), and a celebratory dinner.

Day 6: Bwindi – Kigali, Rwanda
Following breakfast, depart Bwindi and cross into Rwanda via the Cyanika or Katuna border.
Enjoy breathtaking views of the “Land of a Thousand Hills” before arriving in Kigali.
Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a city tour including the Kigali Genocide Memorial, local craft markets, and vibrant cafés.

Day 7: Kigali City Tour – Departure
After breakfast, enjoy any remaining sightseeing or shopping before being transferred to Kigali International Airport for your onward flight.
